Holy crap, does he ever! I'm proud of the fact that I actually discovered an app BEFORE James did! It's a day I will forever remember - maybe even put that on my tombstone. "Here lies Patrick - finder of the Decim8 app before James Campbell".

Cheers,

[...] Yesterday, I teased you all about what my resolutions would be for 2012 after showcasing how I failed so horribly at last year’s list like a Washington, DC sports franchise. While I didn’t do so bad with the professional goals, my personal goals were left in the dust. As a result, the list I made you all wait an extra day to see is a combination of professional and personal goals. Being honest, the delay is because I only had about two or three things on my 2012 To Do List and wanted to buy some time to figure out some more, since they were all business-oriented goals and not personal by any stretch of the imagination. But now that it’s the next day, I have no excuse and must present to you my 2012 New Year’s Resolutions. I want to do multiple ones because I think stopping at one life improvement is weak sauce, and I’m competitive in nature. SO, without further ado, here are the things I would like to accomplish in the coming year: [...]

I try my best to write every day. Some days I wake up and can write all day long, others not so much. Music sometimes will put me in the perfect space to become inspired to write. A nice cup of tea, or hot cocoa also can be the little light I needed to spark creativity.

Thanks, Laura!

It was great meeting you, too! We'll have to arrange some meetup, along with Jenny, James, and Jim (The Killer J's, as I have just dubbed them at this very moment)! I haven't heard of any other meetups just yet, but as long as they don't fall on a day where I'll be shooting out of town or Christmas, I'm game! And I'm looking forward to other shows - InstantDC created an art show addiction in me that MUST be given in to!

Cheers,

- P

Ha. I felt pretty much exactly as you did that night. Wanted to pinch myself a lot, thought that might look weird so I refrained. Wish we could have talked longer. Will you be at any Meetups during the next year? Maybe another show soon?? And CONGRATS about the buyer!

Umm, CHA! Hopefully next time we end up in another country, I'll actually know the language! It only enhances my image as being the "Rainman of Cartography", right?

Haha! Thanks, Walden!

As much as I LOATHE Hipstamatic, it was nice to see that there was hardly a trace of that here and that it actually consisted of TALENTED PHOTOGRAPHERS for a change. A big thanks goes to James Campbell for making this all happen, and especially making sure it wasn't a "Hipstamatic circle-jerk"! :P

I got to see the show at FotoSpace over in Adams Morgan (by the horrid U st mess). When I heard it was mobile photography, I thought "oh great, another Hipstamatic circle-jerk" but it was actually really good. Greg Scmigel's work really was the stand out for me. Great to see a lot of local artists on display.

Hey, Noe!

I'm sure no amount of Communicination degrees could explain this person's lack of awareness for what they say. What makes it more frustrating is their attempt to try to smooth things over by being overly friendly and acting as if nothing happened when they KNOW I'm upset. Add to that the half-assed defensive apology and it's been fun. This person never takes ownership for any of their actions unless there's a possibility of them being right. Otherwise, they pass the buck and come up with a thousand excuses instead of simply owning up to what happened, which was clearly exemplified in this case. We shall see where this leads this person in life, but at the moment, I still have to deal with them, so I'm just going to keep on keeping on and continue being awesome!

Thanks for the comment!
